The connecting link is a high-quality premium performance link designed to join two sections of the chain together. A connecting link is also called a master link because of its function. Additionally, connecting links can be used for quick repairs when a chain pin link has failed. As a side note, in those scenarios, be sure to inspect the rest of the chain for possible stress cracks or other components showing excessive wear.
